  • Breaking News: Dylan Drsdale 2nd place and Thomas Ingram 3rd place at the Hamilton 2009 Nationals in the Cadet Class.

With a full field of 34 Cadets with the very best drivers in the country, local drivers Dylan Drysdale and Thomas Ingram battled it out in the final of the Cadet class finishing an impressive 2nd and 3rd , racing wheel to wheel in the final. Having qualified well, both drivers drove with great confidence and maturity . They both cruised through the heats and pre final and really gave it there all for the final. Giving kart sport Manawatu the best result of the 2009 nationals. With the up coming North Islands being held at the Manawatu Toyota race way, both drivers must be early favorites for the title. But sitting in wings are other local hot shots Sam Jones and Jacob Cranston, who will be looking to avenge there nationals and turn the tables on there club mates and friends. So with a very strong core of very promising young cadet drivers, Kartsport Manawatu looks to be in a great position to bring these talented young drivers through the karting ranks.

Dylan, Josh, Jacob and Sam would like to thank everybody involved in helping them at the 2009 Nationals especially there parents and sponsors.

So come and race some of the very best Cadet drivers in the country and get some early practice in for the North Islands.

Club president Brendon Hart was quoted prior to the Hamilton meeting "given the depth of our Cadets at our club, it was only a matter of time before our drivers started featuring at the front of a nationals. But the most exciting aspect of all of this, is that we have four boys who are all capable of beating each other , so it will only make them better as drivers and strengthen the Club in the future."
